Recognizing the urgent needs of families with young children and aging parents, The Credit Valley Hospital is growing again. A new 270,000 square foot facility is being built to include additional space for obstetrics, labour and delivery, special care nursery, paediatrics, complex continuing care, palliative care, genetics and the laboratory.

The expansion will increase the hospital’s capacity to 471 beds. These additional beds will create greater efficiency for patients in emergency who require admission and give patients better access to the care they need closer to home.

About The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation

The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation incorporated in 1980 and immediately began to raise funds to build The Credit Valley Hospital.

On June 20, 2008, we broke ground on our new expansion project. A 270,000 square foot facility will house our Regional Maternal Child Centre, Palliative Care Centre, Complex Continuing Care Centre, and Regional Genetics and Laboratory programs.
