Q. Do you perform background checks on your employees?
A. Yes. We conduct a nationwide criminal check for all employees. Job references along with character references are completed as well. We believe in power of association and most of our recruits are referred to by trusted sources. Also, we only give opportunities to people with genuine desire and compassion to help seniors in our community and those that needs constant medical care.
Q. What kind of training do the employees have?
A. All registered nurses are trained in Ontario and members of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Our personal support workers are trained mostly in the GTA by accredited community and private colleges. Legend Health Services supports ongoing training for completion of certification by its employees to enhance their abilities to provide overall home care.
Q. Will I get a different care provider for each visit?
A. We like consistency because it creates harmony. At all times you will see the same care provider taking care of you unless there are natural causes we can’t control that might restrict it.

Q. Is there a contract or minimum hours of service?
A. There is no contract. There is a minimum requirement for Personal Support Workers of 3 hours.
